On June 22, 2022, Conch Group's "Development and Application Project of Unmanned Vehicle System of Intelligent Cement Mining Truck" successfully passed the acceptance after on-site inspection, inquiries, comments and discussions by the expert acceptance group, which marks the first time in the global open-pit mining industry, limestone unmanned transportation project was officially completed and put into operation in Conch Group. At present, the unmanned mine truck has achieved continuous uninterrupted service for more than 400 days, and shipped more than one million tons of ore.
Conch Group's intelligent cement mine driverless truck project was established in the second half of 2019, and was officially put into development in January 2020. It was completed and put into operation in June 2022. It took two and a half years to complete all R&D and application tasks. The project adopts the latest technology in the field of artificial intelligence, integrates advanced systems such as 5G and Beidou Navigation and Positioning System, and deeply integrates with the mining process of cement mines to break through the bottleneck of self-adaptive full-scale detection technology, so as to achieve full coverage perception of typical targets of cement mines; finally realize the mine transportation link completely unmanned.
Conch Group will further enrich the functions of the system, continue to develop and apply new technologies, and promote the iterative upgrade and optimization of mining truck driverless technology. At the same time, it will carry out comprehensive digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of all operating units of the mine, making new and greater contributions to the digital and intelligent construction of open-pit mines and the transformation and upgrading of the cement industry.
