According to the 2020 China Aggregates Association's key work plan, on October 23, 2020, the sixth meeting of the 7th Council of China Aggregates Association was successfully held in Dezhou, Shandong. The main attendees of this meeting were the vice presidents, executive directors, and directors of the association.

Aggregates are the most basic and indispensable building material in construction. The State Council attach great importance to the healthy and orderly development of the aggregates industry. This meeting is guided by Xi Jinping’s thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implements the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the Second, Third and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 19th Central Committee, and promotes the healthy and orderly development and high-quality development of China’s aggregates industry.

Gou Hairong（缑海荣）, Vice President of China Aggregates Association, presided over the sixth meeting of the seventh council of China Aggregates Association

宋少民

Song Shaomin（宋少民）, Vice President and Director of the Expert Committee of China Aggregates Association, proposed to hire consultants, adding a part-time deputy secretary-general and members of the expert committee.

赵婧

Zhao Jing（赵婧）, Deputy Secretary-General of China Aggregates Association put forward a proposal to amend the association's constitution, to postpone the change of the association's board of directors, and to donate funds to build a Hope Primary School.

杨晓东

Yang Xiaodong（杨晓东）, Deputy Secretary-General of China Aggregates Association proposed to hold the 7th China International Aggregates Conference, to prepare for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of CAA and to compile the China Aggregates Encyclopedia and to recommend the national large-scale green mining/quarry demonstration bases.

Gou Hairong（缑海荣）, vice president of China Aggregates Association, put forward a proposal on the preparation of the “14th Five-Year Development Plan for Aggregates Industry”.

Yang Xiaodong also gave a report on the progress of CAA's expert database of green mine construction; and Zhang Peng of the Ministry of Information gave a report on the progress of the assessment of scientific and technological achievements and awards in the aggregates industry.

Finally, President Hu Youyi（胡幼奕） delivered a speech.

First, president Hu first conveyed the spirit of the Tenth Council of the Fifth Session of the China Building Materials Federation. He pointed out that the SASAC (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission), the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and the China Building Materials Federation pay great attention to the development of the aggregates association.

Second, president Hu made summary to CAA’s work plan. He also put forward several issues that concern to aggregates companies in the light of the current international situation and industry development trends. He pointed out that there is a large gap between China’s manufacturing industry and that of developed countries. There is a long way to go for China's aggregates and equipment industry system.

With regard to the five major sources of aggregates in the future, President Hu gave an introduction one by one. He pointed out that there are some problems in the design of some quarries which have brought follow-up problems for production and cost control. The planning and construction of the aggregates production line must be well designed.

President Hu also pointed out the practical problems of manufactured aggregates. At present, construction companies have insufficient recognition of machine-made sand and gravel. In the new era when the state proposes supply-side structural reform and high-quality development, the aggregates industry must solve these problems. He also gave an in-depth explanation on issues such as aggregates equipment and manufacturing, natural sand and gravel VS machine-made aggregates.

Focusing on the high-quality development of the aggregates industry, President Hu pointed out that CAA have carried out a number of tasks with enterprises and public institutions:
National Sand and Stone Mineral Resources Planning (2021-2025);
Green Production and Transportation Certification of Aggregates;
Inspection of manufactured aggregates enterprises laboratory evaluation;
Appraisal of scientific and technological achievements in the aggregates industry;
Science and technology awards in the aggregates industry;
Preparation of the “14th Five-Year” development plan for the aggregates industry;
Standards for manufactured aggregates for railways; etc.

In the end, president Hu emphasized that we still have a lot to do to make our industry a mature, healthy and orderly industry. He appealed to all colleagues to continue to work hard and stay true to our mission.
