China Aggregates Association calculated statistics on the national aggregates price in November 2022, among which, the price of aggregates in North China, East China, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and other places has remained stable compared with October.

The price of aggregate in Sichuan has remained stable on the whole, but Tianfu New Area has shown a downward trend for two consecutive months, falling below the 100 yuan. Natural sand dropped to 90 yuan/ton, down 7 yuan/ton from the previous month; Machine-made sand dropped to 89 yuan/ton, down 15 yuan/ton from the previous month; Crushed stone (10-30mm) dropped to 90 yuan/ton, down 15 yuan/ton from the previous month.

The price of aggregates in Hunan shows both rise and fall. In Ningxiang County, Linxiang City, Xinhua County and other places, the aggregates price fell significantly, and the machine-made sand in Linxiang City fell to 64 yuan/ton, down 11 yuan/ton from the previous month; The aggregate (4.75-9.5mm) in Xinhua County dropped to 120 yuan/ton, down 60 yuan/ton from the previous month.

This month, some ports along the Yangtze River showed a strange phenomenon. Natural sand generally declined by 5-7 yuan, while the price of manufactured sand in many places rose against the trend. Take Nanjing Port as an example: Dongting Lake sand fell to 111 yuan/ton, down 5.2 yuan/ton from last month; Poyang Lake sand dropped to 112.6 yuan/ton, down 6.7 yuan/ton from the previous month; Machine made sand rose to 93.6 yuan/ton, up 2.5 yuan/ton from the previous month.

In November, with the cold weather and surging of Covid-19 epidemic, many places were under lockdown. Pollution weather occurs frequently in some areas, which caused halt of construction of a number of projects, and the construction progress were slowing down. However, in the supply side of aggregates, the inventory is high. Therefore, in late November, the overall price of aggregates began to decline due to multiple factors.
