China Aggregates Association published Chinese national sand and gravel aggregate prices of May 2024.

The aggregates price in North China, South China, Central China and Northeast China remained stable, the aggregates price in Yuzhong, Gansu Province of northwest region fell, the aggregates price in Sichuan, Guizhou and Chongqing of Southwest China was mixed, and the price of natural sand in some ports along the Yangtze River in East China fell.

Since the beginning of 2024, the prices of Dongting Lake sand and Poyang Lake sand at some ports along the Yangtze River have continued to fall in January and February, and the prices have rebounded in March and April, but the downward trend has not stopped in May, all falling by about 9 CNY/ton.

The regions where the price of aggregates fluctuated are as follows:

✦ The price of manufactured sand in Yuzhong, Gansu is 38 CNY/ton, and the price of crushed stone is 38 CNY/ton, both down 4 CNY/ton;

✦ The price of manufactured sand in Tianfu New District, Sichuan has dropped the most, with manufactured sand at 75 CNY/ton, down 15 CNY/ton, and crushed stone at 78 CNY/ton, down 10 CNY/ton; Chengdu crushed stone is 72 CNY/ton, down 5 CNY/ton, manufactured sand at 78 CNY/ton, down 4 CNY/ton, and natural sand at 80 CNY/ton, down 4 CNY/ton; Beichuan crushed stone is 38 CNY/ton, down 4 CNY/ton, and manufactured sand is 42 CNY/ton, down 3 CNY/ton; Guizhou Qianxinan Prefecture crushed stone is 28 CNY/ton, up 3 CNY/ton;

✦ The overall price of sand and gravel in Chongqing Yuxi and Yubei increased, with the price of sand and gravel in Yuxi increasing by 1-3 CNY/ton; the price of sand and gravel in Yubei increased by 2-6 CNY/ton, of which high-quality machine-made sand increased by 6 CNY/ton; the price of crushed stone in Yudong increased, and the price of manufactured sand decreased by up to 6 CNY/ton;

✦ The highest price of Dongting Lake sand (excluding tax) at some ports on the Yangtze River was 91 CNY/ton, and the highest price of Poyang Lake sand (excluding tax) was 93 CNY/ton, both of which decreased by about 9 CNY/ton.
