CAA release the July 2024 Chinese national aggregates price

China Aggregates Association has compiled statistics on the national aggregate and sand prices in July 2024. Aggregate prices in North China, South China, and Northwest China are stable, while prices in Guizhou are mixed, and prices in Chongqing, Hunan, and Hubei are slightly down. The prices of natural sand and gravel in ports along the Yangtze River continue to decline, with the highest price falling by 5 yuan/ton compared with the previous month.

Since the beginning of 2024, the arrival prices of Dongting Lake sand and Poyang Lake sand at some ports on the Yangtze River have continued to decline. Prices only rebounded in March and April, but continued to decline from May to July. Compared with the prices in April, the prices of lake sand have dropped by more than 15 yuan/ton, and the prices at some ports have dropped by nearly 20 yuan/ton.

Regions with large fluctuations in aggregates prices:
1. Aggregates price in Zunyi(遵义) and Liupanshui(六盘水)city, Guizhou Province increased by 2-5 yuan/ton; aggregates prices in Bijie City(毕节市) generally decreased by about 10 yuan/ton, and the price of manufactured sand was 25 yuan/ton.
2. The prices of manufactured sand and gravel in west Chongqing, North Chongqing, and East Chongqing were generally decreased; the aggregates prices in South Chongqing area increased slightly, and the high-quality manufactured sand was 37 yuan/ton.
3. The sand and gravel prices in Yichang(宜昌), Hubei Province continued to decline, and the manufactured sand was 48 yuan/ton;
4. The aggregates prices in Changsha, Zhuzhou, Linli City, and Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province decreased, and the Zhuzhou area decreased by 5 yuan/ton, and the manufactured sand was 67 yuan/ton;
5. The prices of natural sand and manufactured sand in Shanghai decreased by 7 yuan/ton, and the manufactured sand was 94 yuan/ton.
6. The highest prices of sand from the two lakes in some ports on the Yangtze River decreased by 5 yuan/ton.
