Since the 18th CPC National Congress, aggregates (crushed rock, sand and gravel used in construction materials), as indispensable, irreplaceable, and the largest raw materials for infrastructure construction projects, have been highly valued and supported by the CPC and the State Council; the annual production of Chinese aggregates is about 20 billion tons, accounting for 50% of the world total, generating more than one trillion yuan per year; equipment manufacturing is developing towards green, intelligent and high-end trend; aggregates production has embarked on the path of automation, large-scale and green; high-quality aggregates products are widely used in major projects at home and abroad; the construction of green mines/quarries has become a conscious behavior of enterprises; China's aggregates producing equipment companies participated in the international market; aggregates 4.0 and 4.0+ - the integrated development model of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries is practiced nationwide, delivering remarkable social and economic benefits; the aggregates industry ecology covering the four levels of science and technology, philosophy, culture and ideology is being built...
In the past ten years, China's aggregates industry has braved the storm and achieved historic achievements. It has entered the fast lane of high-quality development and efficiently serves the construction of national ecological civilization.
Over the past ten years, with the joint efforts and promotion of colleagues in the aggregates industry, the industry has been highly valued and strongly supported by the Party Central Committee and the State Council.
In the past ten years, a number of national-level documents have been issued for the aggregates industry, ensuring the healthy, orderly and high-quality development of the industry. After the release of the national-level documents, various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities have successively issued relevant documents to guide the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of the industry in various regions. In the past ten years, the market’s demand for aggregates materials kept increasing and maintained a high level owing to China's large-scale infrastructure construction
With the continuous advancement of the national ecological civilization construction, the use of natural sand and gravel has dropped from the original 90% to about 10%, and replaced by mechanized mining and processing of machine-made aggregates has become the main source of supply. At present, the annual production and sales of aggregates in China is about 20 billion tons, the annual output value is more than 2 trillion yuan, and the transportation cost is as high as more than 500 billion yuan, accounting for about 1/40 of the GDP. It is a huge industry, among which the market share for machine-made sand and gravel has reached 80%. Aggregates producing enterprises have been transformed, upgraded, reorganized and integrated from more than 56,000 in 2013 to more than 17,000 in 2020. At present, the largest production enterprise has an annual designed production capacity of more than 70 million tons, and the first phase of the aggregate project with an annual output of 100 million tons has been put into operation with an annual output of 50 million tons.
In the past ten years, China's aggregates equipment manufacturing has made great progress, many of which have reached the international level.
The equipment has not only been used in major domestic projects such as the Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao Bridge, Beijing Daxing International Airport, and the supporting facilities of the Beijing Winter Olympics, but also exported overseas to serve the countries along the “Belt and Road” and the international market. The sand used in the construction of the Karachi nuclear power project in Pakistan is machine-made sand and its equipment is made in China. At present, there are more than 3,000 aggregate equipment manufacturers in China. There are several companies achieved sales of more than 1 billion yuan per year, and about 15 with sales of 500 million to 1 billion yuan; nearly 20 foreign companies chose to operate in China.
Shanghai Shibang, Nanchang Mineral System, Shenyang Shunda, Jiangsu Shanbao, Chengdu Dahongli, Zaozhuang Xinjinshan, Guangdong Leimeng, Zhejiang Mining Heavy Industry and other equipment manufacturing brands stand out among thousands of equipment companies in China, becoming a dazzling "business card" in the field of aggregates machinery manufacturing. Jingjin Equipment, Chudao Rock Drilling, Hongda Blasting, Weihai Haiwang, Fujian Quangong, Shaanxi Tongli and other supporting service enterprises provide accurate customized services, which not only won the market, but also promoted the high-quality development of the entire aggregates industry chain.
In the past ten years, China's aggregates producing enterprises have generally paid attention to environmental protection. While practicing the concept of green development, they have achieved their own green transformation.
The enterprises use various recycling dust reduction and noise reduction devices to recycle waste water and slag, and to continuously reduce noise during blasting and production. In the process of belt conveying, potential energy generation technology is adopted to maximize energy saving and reduce the impact on the environment. They restore the mine ecology after the operation. They build a harmonious mining area and form a benefit-sharing mechanism with the surrounding residents of the mining area.
Beijing Weike Metallurgical became the first green mining enterprise in the industry to produce recycled aggregates from tailings. Qingdao Beiyuan and Sishui Agriculture have become leaders in the field of mine ecological restoration. Zhejiang Communications Resources Investment Group and Pingliang New Century have been selected into the National Green Mines List. Wuxue Minben and Huaxin Cement (Yangxin) were included in the list of green factories of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Gansu Huajian and East Hope Chongqing Cement are listed on the list of national green factories. 15 companies including Power Construction Anhui Changjiu were included in the list of large green aggregates production bases in China's aggregates industry. Five Beijing companies, including Miyun Metallurgical Mining Company and Qian'an Shoukuang Building Materials Co., Ltd., have been listed as green bases of aggregates production.
In the past ten years, taken advantage of its own strength, Chinese aggregates industry actively carry out scientific research on the recycling and resourceful utilization of solid waste such as tailings, waste rock, stone powder, soil, construction solid waste, cave slag, waste equipment, and wear-resistant parts.
The technologies and achievements of some enterprises have been at the forefront of national solid waste resource utilization, and some technologies and equipment have reached the world's leading level. At present, Beijing City Luyuan, Shanghai Sanme, Fujian Quangong, Fujian NFLG, Yunnan Kreat, Xuchang Jinke Resources and other leading companies in the utilization of solid waste resources provide overall solutions for recycled building materials. They can produce a variety of recycled products such as recycled concrete, recycled blocks, permeable bricks, etc., and has been applied in many fields, forming a new mode of material recycling.
In the past ten years, Chinese aggregates industry has made great achievements in the construction of scientific and technological innovation systems such as standard construction, laboratory certification, scientific and technological achievement evaluation, and scientific and technological selection.
The third revision of the national standards GB/T 14684 for "Sand for Construction" and GB/T 14685 for "Pebble and Crushed Stone for Construction" has been officially published. Formulate industry standards such as "Evaluation Requirements for Green Plants in the Aggregates Industry", "Impact Sand Making Machine", "Technical Regulations for Machine-made Aggregates Production", and formulate "Aggregates for High Performance Concrete" and "Evaluation Standard for Green Production and Transportation of Aggregates" and other group standards, and promote the preparation of 8 group standards such as "Technical Requirements for Parent Rock of Machine-made Aggregates ".
By the end of 2021, China Aggregates Association and the Aggregates Technology Research Center have reviewed and certified the laboratories of 14 machine-made aggregates manufacturers.
Four-quadrant medium-voltage inverter down-conveyor belt conveyor potential energy power generation and energy-saving technology was selected into the "Catalogue of Advanced Applicable Technologies for Mineral Resources Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization (2019 Edition)" by the Ministry of Natural Resources. Complete sets of equipment for intelligent fine sorting and resource utilization of construction waste were selected into the "National Catalogue of Advanced Applicable Technology and Equipment for Comprehensive Utilization of Industrial Resources (2021 Edition)". Compressed air energy storage (CAES) transportation in open-pit mines - drilling and blasting - crushing green production technology was selected into the "Catalogue of Advanced Applicable Technologies for Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources (2022 Edition)". The wet preparation technology of high-quality aggregates based on bulk iron tailings resources has passed the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements. 22 projects won the Aggregates Science and Technology Award issued by China Aggregates Association.
In the past ten years, the deep integration of IT application and industrialization has been implemented by many aggregates enterprises, and some enterprises have realized remote real-time monitoring of production, quality, equipment operation and the overall environment.
At the same time, intelligent manufacturing is also changing the industry. Intelligent application runs through the entire life cycle of product design, production, sales, management, and service. Modern aggregates producing and crushing equipment companies are gradually increasing. Jiuzhou Mining, Jiaozuo Qianye, Zhongyu Dingli, and Zhejiang Communications Resources Investment Group have become models for the integration of IT application and industrialization and intelligent development in the industry.
In the past ten years, large enterprise groups at home and abroad have entered the aggregates industry, which has greatly promoted the development of China's aggregates industry.
China's aggregates industry has rapidly developed from an industry dominated by private small enterprises to an important industry serving upstream and downstream industries, such as China National Building Materials, Huaxin Cement, China Resources, Jinyu Jidong, and Conch. Lots of companies in water conservancy, hydropower and consulting, design, investment, finance etc. have engaged in the aggregates field, such as China Construction, China Communications Construction, China Railway Construction, NFLG, Zoomlion, Xugong, Liugong, Quangong.
Standing at a new starting point, forging ahead with a new journey. China's aggregates industry will continue to fully, accurately and comprehensively implement the new development concept, closely focus on building a new development pattern, comprehensively optimize and integrate industry resources, build and improve the industrial ecology to open up a new situation for the development of China's aggregates industry.
