Recently, the ecological demonstration project of Ruitu Mingsheng Environmental Protection Building Materials (Changjiang) Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 3 million tons of tailings comprehensive utilization was officially put into operation, turning the tailings waste that was difficult to handle in the past into building materials that can be reused in ports and municipal roads.

In order to promote the green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, the project started construction in 2019, with a total investment of about 250 million yuan. In March this year, the project was officially put into operation, which greatly increased the added value of industrial solid waste in Changjiang industrial and mining enterprises.

Outside the production workshop, Guo Jianming, general manager of Ruitu Mingsheng Environmental Protection Building Materials (Changjiang) Co., Ltd., showed reporters the finished product after multiple processes. "This new floor tile was made of slag and waste of iron ore and cement mining, and has good water permeability, high compressive strength, and long life. It is not only beautiful, but also plays a role in water storage, which is in line with the requirements of sponge city construction."

Guo Jianming said that the current products are being widely used in sponge city construction, municipal engineering, road construction, garden landscape, water conservancy slope protection, river regulation, real estate development, large public buildings, civil buildings, interchanges, platforms and railway construction, port and wharf projects, etc.
